The party will be an official celebration of Half Acre’s fifth anniversary.

And as most ladies know, brew isn’t just for the bros. Riverview Tavern at 1958 W. Roscoe St. is hosting a “meet the brewer” night featuring the female brewers of Goose Island, Rock Bottom and other Chicago breweries.

"The goal of Chicago Craft Beer Week is as always, to entice patrons to explore the depth and breadth of local craft beer and honor those who enrich our community of beer lovers,” according to the event’s website.

The celebration coincides with American Craft  Beer Week, May 13 to 19. Since 2006, the week includes more than 1,700 independent craft brewers.
