VIDEOS: Hundreds Comment on Lathrop Homes Concepts
Did you attend the two-day open house last month that featured three concept designs for redevelopment of the North Side's Lathrop Homes? Hundreds showed, officials said, but we're including the plans' videos for anyone who didn't make it.
More than 350 people attended a two-day November open house for a peek at a trio of redevelopment designs for the Lathrop Homes, according to a statement sent Wednesday by the project's coordinators.
The plan is guided by the Chicago Housing Authority and Lathrop Community Partners—the design team selected to revitalize the 32-acre area.
"A special thank you for more than 200 completed surveys, comment cards and postings on the BIG IDEAS Community Brown Board," the statement said, referring to a feedback board available to attendees. "In fact, a few of our youngest participants suggested a zoo and ice cream parlor be included in the future plans."
