6 North Center Area Restaurants Make Michelin Bib Gourmand List
The award goes to affordable restaurants where diners can expect a great meal.

Neighborhood foodies looking for a bargain, take note: Six restaurants in and around North Center-Roscoe Village made the cut for the Michelin Guide's "Bib Gourmand" list for 2014. The restaurants are Browntrout, Ceres Table, Gather, Mixteco Grill, Opart Thai House, Owen & Engine and Spacca Napoli.
The restaurants were among 69 Chicago area restaurants on the list, which recognizes eateries where diners can get two courses and a glass of wine for under $40 (not including tax.)
This year's crop of "Bib Gourmand" winners were selected by Michelin Guide inspectors from among restaurants they typically frequent themselves, according to a press release.
