Lane Tech Engineers, Coonley Students Earn Scholarships from Two Foundations

Congratulations are in order to these students, who impressed local organizations enough to earn educational scholarships.

Two foundations are giving local students a helping hand with their education costs next fall.

More than 10 students received scholarships through the Gene and Rosemary Schulter Foundation, while two students earned $800 each from the Chicago Engineers Foundations

Kelly Dugan and Joan Njei of Lane Tech College Prep earned the engineering scholarships after declaring the field as their desired career path. Dugan will be a 2013 graduate and plans to study Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University, according to an announcement from the school.
